On Saturday, November 23, 2013, I mailed 4 Christmas Trees, one to each of our soldiers that wanted one.

As incredible as this will sound, when I arrived at the post office to deliver the Christmas Trees, the same lady who paid for 4 of our Thanksgiving packages was there at the window next to me (again), and yes she picked up and paid for shipping one of the trees. As before, she declined credit.

The four trees went to:
Adam Chesser
Patrick Fanning
Patrick Hart * shipping paid for by kind lady
Curtis King

Note: Since the thanksgiving shipment, we have sent 6 additional priority boxes of varying sizes, one to each of our soldiers. We sent more food, delicate items that required special packing and to Patrick Hart some coffee. Coffee was requested for Patrick at the Wish List , tabbed at top of this page.

Kindness

Before getting into the details of the Thanksgiving Day shipment, I want to tell you about an incredibly generous act of kindness that happened when we were at the post office mailing the packages. A lady, a completed stranger, who was ahead of us in line asked about our shipment. When she learned it was for our deployed soldiers, she offered to pay for 4 of the 24 boxes! The cost for her to do this was almost $60! Although she wishes to remain anonymous, I want people to know just how kind strangers can be to one another.

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
