This team managed to prepare 32 Large Flat Rate Priority Boxes; 3 boxes each for the 10 deployed troops that we had planned for, and 2 boxes for a new soldier we learned about the night before the packing party. The soldiers receiving packages were:

Response to the call for donations for this shipment was AMAZING! All of the boxes sent this time were filled with edible goodies, both home made and store bought; there simply was not room for personal hygiene items.

Terry Walkenhorst made 160 decorated sugar cookies - that is 16 for each soldier! She packaged her cookies in separate large baggies and taped them inside paper plates. She was assisted by her husband and her daughter, who took out time from studying for her college finals.

Carol Bontempo made 10 dozen cookies - a dozen for each soldier. She separated her peanut butter cookies out in case some might have an allergy.

Gina Atkinson made large bags of caramel corn and brownies for each soldier. She also made a personalized letter to accompany her goodies.

Tammy Maasen made 72 home made cookies.

3 dozen cookies made by Lisa Gibson and Family, each with an accompanying letter. Lisa made cookies for the single soldiers.

2 dozen cookies from Kevin Kolb.

Two tins of Hershey Kiss cookies from Sybil Schlater and kids.

9 bags of assorted cookies - 6 in each for a total of 54 cookies. No note as to who made them.

10 bags of rice crispy treats. No note to credit.

Stockings were sent to our three soldiers who could not receive trees.

Betty Lohmann bought each soldier a Santa Hat, solar Penguin / Snowman, and a candy tree.
