A special thanks needs to go out to:

Connie Williams, who organized an awesome bake sale in the 920 Building that brought in $245. Helping Connie with the bake sale were Julie Case, Cassie Lauberth, Lisa Brandenburg, and Debbie Klindt.
Connie and her sorority, Gamma Upsilon chapter of Beta Sigma Phi in Fulton, also donated $50.

Floyd Miller donated $100. Floyd consistently donates this.

Maggie Buckland donated $100. Maggie has also donated large amounts in the past.

Lisa Brandenburg, Janice Dickneite and the crew of kids who together made the GREAT Chocolate Chip Cookie tubes.

Jennifer Whitson and the wonderful kids in Steelville, and Girl Scout Troop 30605 who made some awesome cards.

We started this collection with $320.61 left from the Humanitarian Shipment. We collected an amazing $915.48. We spent $382.20 for additional items, and $387.50 for postage.
So here is where the troop fund is now.
$320.61 + $915.48 -$382.20 -$387.50 = $466.39

Thanks For Supporting The Troops!

*************** UPDATE ******************

There has been a miscommunication.

I’ve been in contact with VFW Post 2593 & they (and I) are deeply sorry for any confusion.

Only the issue of obtaining a van has been resolved.

The Marine Corps will be providing Todd Nicely with a van.

To insure accurate information in the future, direct all questions or comments to the following:

For further information on the van contact:

Debbie Denny 314-560-6908

For further information on the food needed contact:

Kathy Anderson 636-296-1929

Again, they need donations of:

Lcpl Todd Nicely (USMC) lost all four limbs when he stepped on an IED in Afghanistan. Todd is coming to St Louis on July 3rd for 20 days of leave and needs a handicap van to transport him in his wheelchair while he is there. The VA will not help him with this right now because he is still considered active duty, and the VFW in Arnold doesnt have a van for this.

If anyone can help please contact:

Also, Post 2593 is having a benefit BBQ for this young man on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 10 am – 4 pm.
