Below are two messages of thanks I want to share with all of you.

First we were able to help Barb Brueggeman get enough wheelchairs for her WWII vets “A Day with Heroes.” ¬†Here is her message to us:

Subject: Re: Troop Support: Urgent Appeal

I thank you ALL deeply for rallying around “A Day with Heroes.”¬† With your help, we were able to locate and take possession of enough wheelchairs for all the veterans requesting help, and a few extras in case someone gets tired.

It makes me so proud to know you, George, and to see the way mid-Missouri supports its veterans, of all ages.

Again, my thanks!
Barb

Second, is a letter that I received Sunday from Derick Asahl, one of the soldiers we’ve been supporting.

Special Thanks to Lt. Troy Sandbothe (pictured above) who has agreed to be our point of contact for this shipment.

We entered this shipment with $190.63 left over from Easter / Passover. We collected $236.54 and spent $106.56 in postage.
Accordingly, the fund now has $190.63 + $236.54 – $106.56 = $320.61.
